Poking the Pocket

Heres what happened the other day. Actually sunday to be precise. I was walking with Apu on a very market oriented window shopping street of Bangalore. And here’s what i find: A guy walking with a girl with his thumb in her back pocket. I promptly pointed it to Apu and asked if it was some kind of fashion statement in the GeekTown but she said, she knows nothing of that.

We walk a couple of blocks and a similar scene greets us. I ask again, same answer as before but we decided to give it a try. Might be romantic, you never know. Apu was wearing a skirt so we left it for another day.

Further down, more couples, more thumbs in more back pockets. Never the girl, always the guy with a thumb in the girl’s back pocket. Amazing.

Then i come back home. Forget about the whole thing and bla bla get back to life and stuff. Monday passes and Tuesday i get my hands on the magazine section of saturdays paper. Guess what i found. Well i have taken a photo of that and included it below. Its from an article on how to seduce your partner. Well good going Uber Geeks in geek town, saturday you have a break for your five day a week job, saturday you read it, sunday you are out on your date, and you put it to use.

Do i think any of them got lucky…. naaaaah..
